FIA GT 1 ACE JOINS WORLD TOURING CAR CHAMPIONSHIP RACE ON ZOLDER

Zolder, June 2010: On June 20th gamers worldwide, sitting behind their own PC, will be able to race live in the official FIA WTCC race. This event is made possible by using the iOpener Enabled technology. This was announced in the former press release "World premiere: online gamers racing Live in FIA WTCC race".

In the meantime, a very special gamer will join the live race directly from Circuit Zolder. FIA GT 1 Ace Xavier Maassen will be at the track racing the full two races against Tom Coronel and his team mates. He will be sitting in an iOpener Enabled racing simulator driving the same SEAT Leon TDI and competing against the SR Sport team. The real-time race data will be streamed into the virtual racegame enabling gamers at home to race from home against the professional drivers on the real race track. Virtual and real racing will be merged into one.

WTCC fans can witness the unique battle between FIA GT1 ace Maassen racing from the iOpener Enabled simulator against the real drivers of the SR Sport team on the real track of Circuit Zolder. All are welcome to try and beat Tom and his teammates in the simulator.
