Double action at the Norisring - DTM meets Boxing

The crowds of the DTM round held in Nuremberg will have the chance of experiencing a very special surprise. On presentation of their DTM tickets, the motor racing enthusiasts will get a 20-percent allowance regarding tickets for the 'ARD - Boxnacht', held on Saturday evening in the 'Arena Nürnberger Versicherung'.

The highlight of this night of boxing, held on 16th July, will be twelve rounds of boxing for the European Middleweight Championship Crown, between Germany's Sebastian Sylvester and Morrade Hakkar from France. In addition to this highlight, the boxing night will consist of another six bouts, one of them with the popular German fighter Danilo Häusler. The action will begin at 18.30hrs local time, with the ARD covering the European Championship bout from 22:40hrs.

First Serve DTM - Beach Volleyball Tournament with DTM aces

On 15th July, the DTM aces and the drivers of DTM's partner series will contest a special event. During the 'DTM Beach Volleyball Party', taking place at 'Noah's Garden, located close to the 'Arena Nürnberger Versicherung', DTM aces Tom Kristensen (Audi) and Marcel Fässler (Opel), are going to prove on Saturday from 18:00hrs that they also know how to deal with a volleyball.

The Formula 3 Euro Series will be represented by the pairing Marco Bonanomi and Hannes Neuhauser, with HBR Team Manager Sigi Müller supporting them. While the twins Alfred and Robert Renauer, representing the Porsche Supercup, could possibly confuse their opponents. Most definitely, the Seat Leon SuperCopa team will enjoy the support of the crowds, as the female line-up Christina Surer and Kati Droste will compete against an otherwise all male field.

Maxi Wendl and Constantin Dressler will try to score points for the ADAC VW Polo Cup, while Henri Karjalainen and Chris van der Drift from Team Rosberg are the Formula BMW ADAC representatives in the field. When the motor sport professionals have found their champion, the supporters may enter the court and play as long as they like.

The Nuremberg broadcasting studios will send DJ Marco König who will provide the music for the beach party DTM and its partner series are going to celebrate with the motor racing enthusiasts until late in the night. The entrance is free, and as a special highlight, ten free tickets for the DTM weekend and ten free tickets for the ARD boxing night, taking place on Saturday, 16th July, from 18:30hrs, will be raffled.

DTM start at the Norisring to take place later than usual

Due to the ARD's extensive Tour de France coverage, the DTM race held on Sunday, 17th July, will start at 17:35hrs and not, as usual, at 14:00hrs. The qualifying session and the Super Pole on Saturday will also start later than usual, with the qualifying session being held from 17:30hrs, while the Super Pole shoot out contested by the ten fastest drivers will begin at 18:10hrs.
