Daytona Beach, Fla. -- Andrew Gurtis, who has worked for more than 20 years at International Speedway Corporation, most recently serving as managing director of business operations at ISC, has been named vice president of operations at Daytona International Speedway, track president Robin Braig announced.

In his role that he assumes immediately, Gurtis will oversee the entire operations department of the 480-acre Daytona International Speedway which includes maintenance, security and emergency services.

"We're thrilled to welcome Andrew back to Daytona International Speedway," Braig said. "Andrew brings a broad spectrum of experiences to his new position that makes him an invaluable asset to the continued success and growth of Daytona International Speedway."

"Daytona ignited my passion for promoting motorsports over 20 years ago," Gurtis said. "It's an honor to join Robin Braig, Daytona's top-notch Facilities Operations crew and the entire DIS staff. Together we will continue the phenomenal legacy of superior, innovative and thrilling guest experiences at the icon of motorsports facilities -- the 'World Center of Racing.' "
