Automotive-focused digital multimedia company Motor1.com, a Motorsport Network company, today announced its North American expansion by launching Motor1-CANADA.

The new digital platform marks the company’s third regional property joining the US and Italy.

Motor1.com– CANADA supports the company’s global business strategy and aggressive expansion into a dozen new markets around the world this year. It regionally joins sister companies Motorsport.com–CANADA and Motorsport.com–QUEBEC within the Motorsport Network group of brands.

Dave Pankew Appointed Director of Motor1.com - CANADA

Motor1.com today announced the appointment of highly respected automotive editor Dave Pankew as Director of Motor1-CANADA. The appointment is effective immediately.

Over the last five years he has served as Senior Editor for AOL-owned Autoblog while rolling out the Canadian version of the site. He has also developed content published across 300+ sites owned and operated by AutoNation Inc. During his 15-year career, Pankew has produced hundreds of car reviews, news stories, covered international auto shows and events, in addition to leading teams and launching new products.

In his new role, Pankew will lead the direction of all Motor1.com site content for Motor1- CANADA.

“The addition of Dave to our Motor1.com editorial team signifies our global commitment in repeating the successes of our sister company, Motorsport.com,” said John Neff, editor in chief, Motor1.com. “With the industry’s best editors, largest content database, image galleries and videos, we are positioned to be the industry leader in Canada and around the world.”
