Wells Fargo and Petty Enterprises Combine Forces Again For 2007 Nascar Season

RANDLEMAN, N.C. -- Feb. 5, 2007 -- Wells Fargo & Company and Petty Enterprises announced today the extension of their NASCAR sponsorship arrangement. The 2007 season represents the fifth year the financial services company has sponsored Petty Enterprises, which includes the Kyle Petty and Bobby Labonte cars as well as a partnership with The King of NASCAR, Richard Petty.

Kyle Petty's No. 45 will carry a full-car red and gold Wells Fargo paint scheme in 12 races during the 2007 season as the car's primary sponsor, starting with the Daytona 500.

"The sponsorship has proven to be a winner for us", said Michael McCoy, group senior vice president for Wells Fargo Financial. "We've seen significant returns on our investment as we use the sponsorship to help build relationships with our customers, clients and dealers."

Wells Fargo & Company is a diversified financial services company with $482 billion in assets, providing banking, insurance, investments, mortgage and consumer finance to more than 23 million customers from more than 6,000 stores and the internet (wellsfargo.com) across North America and internationally. Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. has the highest possible credit rating, "Aaa," from Moody's Investors Service and the highest credit rating given to a U.S. bank, "AA+," from Standard & Poor's Ratings Services.

"We're proud to have Wells Fargo continue its sponsorship of Petty Enterprises," said Kyle Petty. "They are the premier financial services company in the U.S. and an excellent partner with our other top-quality sponsors, like General Mills, Marathon Oil, Tire Kingdom and Coca Cola."

Petty Enterprises, located in Randleman, N.C., fields two Winston Cup teams: Kyle Petty's No. 45 Wells Fargo Dodge and Bobby Labonte's No. 43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge. In addition to the race teams, the associated Richard Petty Driving Experience gives fans and corporate groups the opportunity to ride in or drive a Nextel Cup-style stock car at 26 racetracks around the country.
