Tagliani back with MacDonald Motorsports

Montreal, September 23, 2009: During the weekend race held in Montreal, the famous car driver Alex Tagliani, greatly impressed the team with his entry in the Nationwide Series driving the # 81 Dodge car. Tags first race in the Nationwide Series, was held at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in his hometown, August 30, 2009, it could have ended better for MacDonald Motorsports as he drove in seventh place with two laps to go to recovery even took the 5th place before getting out in a pile. Tag had recovered from the back of the pack on several occasions so impressively, with a clean driving without a scratch on the car # 81 Dodge. It was exciting for the team who had enjoyed working with Tag during the weekend because of its technical capabilities and attention to detail. The team was so enchanted by the passion and enthusiasm that Tag had for a whole new category of racing, it announced a plan to continue this association in another race the Nationwide Series in the United States. This will be an oval race track and an event that remains to be determined.

The Quebec Dodge dealers were also very pleased with the exciting weekend of racing and with Tag driving the #81 car up to 7th in a 40+ car field, they are happy to announce an extended sponsorship package. The association will see Tag race again under Dodge colours with MacDonald Motorsport in the USA before the2009 Season is finished.

Asked about the possibility of flying again in Nationwide Series, Tag said: "This was my first experience with Dodge and Dodge dealers from Quebec and I had the honor to represent my hometown this Week-end in Montreal. I really tried my best and to help the MacDonald Motorsports team had provided me with a good car for the race. Furthermore, this additional race will provide me with precious track time, in preparation for the next Indycar season. "

"In Montreal, we were pretty competitive, especially in the rain. Knowing that I'm getting another shot in the car, I am really looking forward to a second opportunity to drive in the Nationwide Series and to work with the guys from MacDonald Motorsports. I am still wishing that we were not involved in the final restart pile-up as the #81 Dodge was headed for a great race finish. But despite the accident and the end result, I think we were all very encouraged by the results of the weekend. "

Randy MacDonald: "I am very excited to have Alex in our car on an oval race, as far as I am concerned he blew the team away, we never see a driver go from the back to from 3 times in a race, by passing so many cars and keeping is car clean, is intensity and technical help our team and we hope to do the same on the oval".

David Dumont - President of Association of Dodge dealers in Quebec: "The Dodge Dealers of Quebec knew that Alex Tagliani had his place on the starting grid for the Nationwide race in Montreal. We were really proud to team up with him and with MacDonald Motorsports for the August 30th race. We feel privileged for the opportunity to team up with Alex for yet another race event in 2009. He's a very talented race car driver, a real fighter that never backs down from a challenged. That's what Dodge is all about and that's why we're proud to announce today our support of Alex in his first NASCAR Nationwide oval race".
