Kalitta Motorsports at Dundee's Cabela's in June

Kalitta and Mac Tools team up with Cabela's for Fan Appreciation Week.

Ypsilanti, MI, May 24, 2002 - Cabela's, the world's foremost outdoor outfitter for hunting, fishing and outdoor gear has teamed with Doug Kalitta and the Mac Tools Top Fuel dragster team for Fan Appreciation Week at the Cabela's retail location in Dundee, Michigan, June 11-16.

Race fans and outdoor enthusiasts in attendance at Cabela's in Dundee, just west of Detroit, will have a unique opportunity to see and hear the power of an NHRA nitro-fueled Top Fuel dragster on Tuesday, June 11. Kalitta, driver of the Mac Tools/ Kalitta Motorsports 6000 horsepower dragster, will crank his race car and take a few steps on the throttle at 8:30 pm (ET). Doug will sign autographs from 6:30 - 8:30 pm before he climbs into the Mac Tools dragster's cockpit.

Other race cars will also be on display during Fan Appreciation Week at Cabela's in Dundee, including Junior Dragsters and the Warrior Racing A/Fuel Dragster driven by Ben Marshall in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. "Mac Tools is excited about participating in Cabela's Fan Appreciation Week," said Roger Spee, Mac Tools Motorsports Manager. "We look forward to bringing awareness about Mac Tools and our products to all of the outdoors enthusiasts. In addition to our Mac Tools Top Fuel team with Doug Kalitta there to sign autographs and start the dragster, we will have our Mac Tools staff there to display products and answer any technical questions.
