HUNDERTMARK CLOSES OUT 1999 RACE SEASON

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA, November 11, 1999 -- Terri Hundertmark, of Indianapolis, Indiana, closed out her second year of auto racing with a strong 25th in points in Skip Barber Formula Dodge Eastern Series. Terri fought her way into the top-15% in a field of 164 racers. The performance was a fitting end to a hard fought year.

"I'm really pleased with my podium and the multiple fourths that I had," commented Terri, "I think that my progression through the pack on all of the starts was phenomenal. That really helped me finish top-25."

1999 was a breakout year for the former-personal watercraft champion. Her final points' position was Terri's highest yet -- she finished 38th in the 1998 title chase and took 30th in the 1998-1999 Skip Barber Southern Series. She also enjoyed her first podium finish -- a third -- at New Hampshire International Raceway in June.

Not to settle for one experience, Terri made her first foray into fendered race cars. She raced the Team Johnson Controls/ Michelin Ford Mustang Cobra SVT in the grueling Michelin Car and Driver One Lap of America during the month of May. Following seven days in the race car at six different tracks she came home 11th in class. She also drove her first stock car, race truck, modified and sprint car.

Her 1999 on-track accomplishments include the Women's Global GT Series' season-opener at Road Atlanta in April. She qualified eighth in the event that started 18 drivers -- 12 drivers failed to make the field. She raced her way up to third but would eventually take an eighth place finish despite the strong run. In January she organized and led the all-women's Racing For Kids team at the Long Night of Moroso 24-Hour event.

Her other achievements in 1999 include being named the "Space Coast Press Athlete of the Month" in March. She was also honored as "Thunder Valley Driver of the Month" for April.

Terri continued her work with Racing For Kids in 1999 as well. Her third ye ar with the charity -- which raises awareness and funding for the healthcare needs of children in the United States -- brought new opportunities for Terri to visit children's hospitals in the cities where she raced. To date, Racing For Kids has collected over $1 million for children. Racing For Kids will continue to be a driving force in Terri's racing in 2000.

The 1999 season officially closed out with Terri's appearance at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. The show, which ran from November 2-5, is the largest of its kind in the United States.

Terri personalized over 4,000 autograph cards in the four days, posed for photos and talked to thousands of show-goers in her ongoing role as a representative of Michelin Tires. "The show was incredible. It was on the evening news that we had the busiest booth at SEMA," remarked the native of Colorado. "Everyone was very interested in the new PAX system and seeing the PAX VW Bug. Signing all of those autographs was hard work. I am very honored to have such great fans and to be working with Michelin Tires."

Terri has great expectations for the 2000 season. "I'm very excited about the coming year. With all the changes in Sports Car racing the season looks really promising. 1999 opened up several strong opportunities for me in 2000. Now we just need to get everything into place."
