Davis Stars in ASCS Canyon Go at Hollywood Hills

SAN FELIPE PUEBLO, N.M. (May 24, 2009) -- Charles Davis, Jr., padded his Discount Tire Co. ASCS Canyon Region points lead by winning Sunday night's 30th Annual Buddy Taylor Memorial as the curtains closed on Hollywood Hills Speedway.

Davis charged past early leader Johnathon Henry on the fifth round en route to capturing his second series win of the season aboard the Don Ott-powered Massey Motorsports No. 50 DRC.

Davis collected the $2,500 winner's share in front of Rick Ziehl, with Bob Ream, Jr., R.J. Johnson and 19th-starter Jesse Baker rounding out the top five. Ronnie Clark was sixth, with Andrew Reinbold, Scott Box, Bo Baker and Nathan High completing the top ten.

Mike Martin, Stevie Sussex, Henry and Charles topped heat race action for the 36-car field, with Joshua Hodges winning the "B" Main.
