LG Motorsports and Lou Gigliotti Looking for win at Atlanta With the LG Pro Long Tube Corvette C6

Lou Gigliotti, 3 time World Challenge champion heads to Atlanta to match his podium finish at Road Atlanta from last season. Gigliotti is fresh off a 3rd place at St Petersburg street race. Lou has been on the podium in 3 of the last 5 races and is pegged to repeat.

"We had a good 3rd place car at St Pete but we were not going to take over 1st or 2nd without a mistake by the leaders. But at Atlanta we stand a much better chance of improving our position because of the great high speed handling of the Corvette. Plus with our great brakes by Stoptech we will have an advantage under braking", said Gigliotti.

And Atlanta braking into turn 10 is the place to pass.

LG Motorsports is one of America's leading suppliers of Corvette performance parts and he races what he sells. Every Corvette in the Field is using LG Pro Long Tube headers from Gigliotti's company. Leighton Reece claims that "They are the best Corvette header on the market and totally race worthy. Lou Built these headers as a race header for the street. We would not use anything else in our World Challenge Corvette race car".

Borla, the most respected performance exhaust company in the nation builds LG's headers on a private label agreement. Gigliotti said," We were lucky enough to get Borla to be our supplier of our LG headers. The design is LG's but the quality Stainless Steel construction by Borla is essential to our header's success".

In 2004, Lou paced the field in practice last race at Atlanta but could only muster a 7th qualifying. 2005 looks to be the same with the new LG Motorsports C6 that performed so well at St Pete.

The LG Pro Long Tube Corvette will have to carry 40 pounds of "rewards weight" after the 3rd place finish at St Pete but the team is hoping for success in spite of the extra weight.

"Atlanta has been a very special place for me", I won an IMSA Firehawk race here and have had some great drives", said Gigliotti. "And we hope that 2005 will not be any different".

LG Motorsports will also be using LS-2 Edit computer tuning for the engine management.

Look for Lou's familiar Black and Yellow "Flame Paint" Corvette C6 on Speed Channel Sunday at 1pm Eastern time.

Lou has 19 total wins in the World Challenge series in 91 starts, which is almost a 21% win record in the series. Lou also has 42 top 3 finishes, 47 top 5's 57 top 10s and was the fastest qualifier 21 times on the pole which is just about 1 pole in every 4 races which tops PD Cunningham's pole percentage. Lou only has 9 fastest race laps which shows that Lou can win races on desire alone! Even without the fastest race car, Lou can win races.
