CRA: 2006 Awards Banquet date announced

CHAMPION RACING ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES 2006 AWARDS BANQUET DATE

Salem, IN (November 13, 2006) -- Champion Racing Association has announced that the 2006 Champion Racing Association Awards Banquet will be held at the Holiday Inn in Anderson, Indiana at 5920 Satterfield Rd, just off exit 26 of I-69. The 2006 Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday evening, January 6, 2007. The 2006 CRA Super Series Presented By Spray Power Champions will be honored along with all the top fifteen teams in 2006 CRA Super Series Owners Points. In addition the top ten in CRA Street Stock points and the top ten in CRA Sportsman points will also be honored.

The 2006 CD-2 Rookie Of The Year Award winner with the CRA Super Series will be honored and will lead a group of selected CRA Super Series drivers and teams that will be awarded individual special awards at the Awards Banquet including the TDR Screen Graphics Sportsman Of The Year Award, the Darrell Teal Dedication Award and the Cometic Gasket Hard Luck Award.

There will be a reception to start the evening's events at 6PM, followed by a buffet dinner at 7PM, with the awards ceremony immediately following at approximately 8:30PM. There will be several special announcements made concerning the 2007-racing season, and there will be several product items that will be given away by random draw of any team present for each division.

Some of the products that will be given away by random draw include a complete body from Five Star Racecar Bodies for both the CRA Super Series and CRA Sportsman, a 50% off a body Product Certificate from ARP Stock Car Bodies for both the CRA Super Series and CRA Sportsman, a $250 Product Certificate from Five Star Racecar Bodies and a set of ARP Stock Car Bodies plastic nose and tail pieces for the CRA Street Stocks. Also a racing seat from The Joie Of Seating, a welder from Lincoln Welders, a set of racing springs from Draco Spring, a set of Scott Performance Wires and a $200 Product Certificate from Cometic Gasket for the CRA Super Series teams.

The Holiday Inn is Anderson's only Full Service Hotel featuring indoor/outdoor pool, banquet facilities, full restaurant and lounge and a work out facility. A major upgrade and renovation was just completed in 2006 to the entire hotel.
