Jason Miller to give the Pat Bourdow Memorial Rookie of the Year title chase some Virginia flavor in 2005.

The ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts 2005 season is rapidly approaching the starting gates. The Pat Bourdow Memorial Rookie of the Year Championship contenders range from a wide variety of racing forms from full bodied stock car, to open wheel machines, right down to the scaled down versions of full size cars such as Dwarf Cars, Allison Legacy series rides, and Legends cars. One driver that has made a name for himself in the Legends machines is looking to graduate up to the full fendered stock cars as Jason Miller has turned in his registration and has his sights set on the 2005 Pat Bourdow Memorial Rookie of the year title.

"We plan on running all 16 shows in the ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts." Miller matter of factly stated, when asked about his 2005 plans. "We are going for the Pat Bourdow Memorial Rookie of the Year award too. We've had a lot of success in the Legends cars and now it's time to move on up to something more challenging. I'm looking forward to this season with the ASA Late Models Series." Ended Miller.

To say that Miller had a lot of success in the Legends cars is an understatement! 2004 was a banner season for the 16-year-old Virginia native as Jason won 22 features while finishing in the top five 33 times and in the top 10 an astonishing 35 times in 37 starts. Those impressive stats reaped rewards for the Berryville, Virginia pilot as Miller won the Virginia State Legends Pro Championship for the second year in a row as well as the track championship in the Legends division at Old Dominion (VA) Speedway. He also placed fourth in the nation out of 257 drivers in the National Pro Division for Legends cars.

In his three years behind the wheel of a Legends machine, Jason won an impressive 49 features in just 107 starts! To put his accomplishments in perspective, Miller finished in the top 10 in a mind boggling 97 out of 107 events in three seasons! In addition, Miller has won a total of seven various championships in those three years. Including two Winter Nationals championships in 2003 at both Orlando (FL) Speedworld and Desoto (FL) Speedway.

Before his Legends career took off, Jason was a stout Go-Karts pilot as well, racking up over 150 feature wins in Virginia and West Virginia in Junior Stock and Junior Restricted events in three years. During a career that began in 1999, Miller never finished worse than third in the points standings in Go-Karts and never worse than fifth in the Nation in the Legends division.

For the 2005 season, Miller will be running for the Pat Bourdow Memorial Rookie of the year championship aboard his father, John Miller III's owned and prepared Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Jason will be carrying sponsorship from Watermelon Park, as well as First Choice Trucking, Team ASE, Big Daddy Auto Sales, and WP Construction.
