Jacky Ickx Added to Driver Lineup For Porsche Rennsport Reunion II

ATLANTA, GA -- April 13, 2004 -- Six-time Le Mans 24 Hour race winner Jacky Ickx will join more than 30 noted Porsche race drivers of the past and present for Porsche Rennsport Reunion II April 23-25 at Daytona International Speedway. The legendary Belgian is considered one of the world's greatest sports car endurance drivers. He and such notable drivers as Dan Gurney, Brian Redman, Derek Bell, Vic Elford and Richard Attwood will comprise one of the greatest gatherings of Porsche competitors in history at th e event.

While Ickx headlines the driver lineup, more than 150 historic Porsche racecars, including more than a dozen Le Mans and Daytona 24 hour race winners, are entered in the event's concours d'elegance and track activities. The various Porsche racing models to be featured include 356s, 550 Spyders, RS 61s, RSK, 904s, 906s, 907s, 908s, 908/2s, 908/3s, 910s, 911 RSRs, 911 GT1s, 911 GT2, 917Ks, 917/10s, 917/30, 924 GTRs, 934s, 935s, 936, 956s and 962s.

Porsche Rennsport Reunion II will be open to the public and will bring together an unprecedented gathering of significant Porsche vintage racecars owned by private collectors, Porsche Club racers, former Porsche factory drivers and a selection of historic cars from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany including the first Porsche ever produced. It will feature a three-day program of on-track competition, track touring laps for Porsche owners, an off-road Cayenne ride and drive event, plus a concours d'el egance, which will be open to the event's participants by invitation.
