TONY D'ALBERTO QUEENSLAND RACEWAY: FRIDAY PRACTICE

Tony D'Alberto is 5th fastest after today's practice sessions at Queensland Raceway for Round 4 of the 2007 Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series.

The 21 year-old Victorian was 4th fastest in the opening session where he gave his set-up a shakedown to make sure the car was balanced for the bumpy circuit.

"The track was a bit green (slippery)," Tony said.

"We basically checked the set-up in preparation for the second session which will have more rubber down."

After lurking just inside the top ten for most of the session Tony was able to improve on his time in the closing stages and move up to fifth fastest.

"I am pretty happy with where we are at," he said.

"The car is fast and well balanced and should be ok to have a real crack at qualifying tomorrow."

Qualifying begins at 10am tomorrow and will be followed by Race 1 at 1.50pm.
