The Dakar in 190 countries
The TV broadcasting of the Dakar does not stop growing year on year, so that the entire planet can experience the amazing adventure of the greatest rally-raid in the world.

Breathtaking scenery, professional rivals competing for victory and others, amateurs, “just to finish”, incredible enthusiasm from the crowds along the route, vehicles bouncing over the roads… a great spectacle. For the 2015 edition, 70 TV stations will broadcast the race in 190 countries, with 8 hours of programmes being sent from the Bivouac every day.
Fox Sports will cover the event throughout South America with over 6 hours’ on air every day. In Europe, the rally can be seen on general channels (France TV in France, RTL in Holland, TVE in Spain, TVN in Poland…) and two thematic sports channels (Eurosport in Europe and Asia, NBC Sports Network in the USA…).
For its part the daily international Dakar TV programme sent to all channels everywhere in the world continues to evolve: more stories, more action, landscapes, unbeatable on-board camera shots, new aerial images filmed by a drone… all these innovations will allow views the world over to get right into the race and enjoy the intenseness of this extreme race and the majestic backdrop it takes place against.
The TV resources in figures:
▪ 3 helicopters and 5 TV cars on the tracks.
▪ 13 cameramen positioned along the race’s sites, 15 on-board camera systems, 2 super slow-motion cameras (1,000 images per second), 7 satellite antenna, 23 editing suites.
▪ 45 tonnes of equipment.
▪ 250 people, including 120 people sent by TV channels
▪ 120 hours of programmes, 8 hours per day including 1 hour 30 minutes of live broadcast.
▪ 1 drone
