The final trial of F1's new sprint race format in 2021 delivered arguably its best spectacle yet, as the qualifying pace-setter surged from the back to a memorable win over the two events. Meanwhile, for others, it was a weekend to forget on the long-awaited return to Interlagos
Lewis Hamilton – 10
Was no doubt boosted by his fresh ICE and topped qualifying with a rear wing Mercedes claimed was broken by a hefty 0.438 seconds before the controversy he did well to ignore began. Gained 15 places in the sprint, nine in the GP and was both rapid and kind to his tyres. Smartly learned from what went wrong in his first Verstappen attack to later seal a famous win.
