EU: Facu Regalia Silverstone qualifying report

Facu Regalia keeps the podium in his sights

Facu Regalia achieved two fourth places for the grids of the Formula BMW Europe races that will be held this weekend at Silverstone.

The young Spanish-Argentinean driver arrived at Silverstone with the podium in his sights and he showed since the practice the he has the pace to fight for it. He was the fourth fastest in the morning, though he wasn't completely pleased with the way everything went. "We are not happy, because though we were fourth we were eight tenths slower than the fastest. We don't know in which conditions our competitors were, but we were on track with thirty laps old tires", said the eighteen years old driver.

In the qualifying Facu Regalia was, again, one of the references on the track and, with surface cleaner and grippier, grabbed the fourth place in the grid for both races, as we was the fastest among the Eifelland Racing drivers. Even if this was a good result, the youngster wasn't entirely happy with it.

"This is a good result, two fourth places, but, without a mistake that I did, I would achieve a better place. When I was with my second set of tyres I did a mistake in the first sector and I lost that lap and the chances of improving my time lap", explain Facu Regalia, who was one of the small group of drivers who wasn't being investigate by the stewards for cutting corners to improve their time laps.

The first race of the weekend will start tomorrow morning and it will have eleven laps.
