Facu Regalia with the podium just ahead

Facu Regalia ended the second Formula BMW Europe race of the British Grand Prix program in the fourth place just outside of the podium. In a hard weekend he scored some good points for the championship.

The Spanish-Argentinean driver started from the fourth position of the grid and, with a good reaction to the lights, he kept his place and Timmy Hansen behind him. "I started well and I could hold Hansen. In the first lap I tried to overtake Jack Harvey, who was third, but he defended himself well", said the Eifelland Racing driver. However, after two laps, Facu Regalia understood that he didn't have the pace to follow the drivers in front.

"The three guys in front had a very strong pace. I gave my best, but it was impossible to achieve more than this. We made some changes in the car before the race to try to fix its handling, but they weren't enough", explain the eighteen years old driver. After eleven laps, Facu Regalia saw the chequered flag in the fourth position and was the best of the Eifelland Racing drivers, adding some more points to his championship tally.

In the standings he is on the fourth, but he is confident in the future. "Our championship starts now. We reached the first half of the season and we just ended the event that we knew it would be our worst - Silverstone - and ahead of us we have some circuits where we can be strong, as Hockenheim and Hungaroring", underlined with confidence and hope Facu Regalia.

The next event will be held at Hockenheim in two weeks.
