Its time once again for the annual Race Car Swap Meet to be held at the San Jose Fairgrounds on Sat., Dec 9th. This will be the 6th annual Swap Meet and all indications are that it will be another big success.

For those not familar with the swap meet, it is directed toward all forms of racing vehicles, with a special interest in high performance, open wheel race cars like the Sprint Cars raced at the San Jose Speedway. Typically racers will bring their trailers filled with the items they raced this year to sell off in preparation for next racing season. There will be parts and pieces for sale..thru to complete race cars and in some cases..complete race operations. Cars..trailers..engines..you name it. In the past there has been a large turn out of Sprint Cars, Midgets, Mini Sprints, Micro Midgets as well as Stock Cars and Drag Cars. Every year it is the cross roads of the racing community... and the last social opportunity of the year.

We expect a large turn out this year and as in the past it will be held rain or shine. The race community is a hardy bunch and not detered by bad weather. So..if you have something to sell or something you want to buy...come on out. Or..if you just want to spend the day with a lot of local Northern California racers..come on out. Many of the drivers and car owners set this day aside just to spend the day with their friends.

The gates open at 6:30am for sellers to do their setup, with the general public being admitted at 9:00am. Normally the swap meet will last until mid afternoon. Admission to the general public is $5.00 and parking is free. This year the swap meet will be held in the main fairgrounds parking lot on Tully Road.

For more information, or for information of being a "seller" please call Bob Cooney at 408-292-1335 from 9:30am to 5:30pm.

Hope to see you there...Bob85
