ASTON, PA (August 21, 2006) - The IMSA Lites series rolled in to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin to compete in the Generac 500 at Road America event with Adam Pecorari leading the points Championship battle. The goals of the weekend were simple - win both races and put the Championship out of reach. While these were lofty goals, for the driver that had won five of the six races on the season, they were not unreasonable.

Pecorari started the weekend on the right foot, setting fast time in qualifying, despite only running four laps in the thirty minute session, to earn his seventh Pole in seven races. The next closest competitor was almost four seconds slower on the charts at session's end.

Despite the blistering times turned in qualifying, Pecorari and the Cape Motorsports team were not content with just being fast as the Aston, PA driver noted, "After practice we were quick, but made three little changes that really hooked up the car."

Everything came together for the first race as planned as Adam crossed the finish line in the #2 Van Diemen Elan unchallenged.

"The first race went trouble free and we won by 30 seconds. It was a fun race, the car was perfect, and the Hankook tires were great."

With half the goals for the weekend met, Adam rolled the Cape Motorsports/Hankook Tires entry to the line on Sunday intent on clinching the Championship with two races to spare. Not satisfied with only beating the competition, Pecorari set the pace during the race besting his own times from Saturday and also topping the next closest competitor by almost four seconds.

"The car was perfect all weekend. I would like to thank Dominic and Nicholas of Cape Motorsports and the entire team for putting a great effort together. They really have the Van Diemen Elan working well! If it weren't for a mechanical failure earlier in the season, we would have all 8 wins so far."

The final two races of the season will take place at Road Atlanta Motorsports Center during the Petit Le Mans event. Adam and the Cape Motorsports team look to close out the IMSA Lites season in the same dominating fashion they have demonstrated all season.

"The IMSA Lites series is a great new series that has an extremely large amount of potential. Every race the entry list has grown and the series should only be stronger in 2007. I'd like to thank Jon Baytos and Formula Motorsports, who have put together a great series this year"
