IRL: Casino Magic 500 Event Happenings

FORT WORTH, Texas, Tuesday, June 6, 2000 - Event happenings leading up to and during the Casino Magic 500 on June 8-10 at Texas Motor Speedway:

SCHEDULE:

The Casino Magic 500 starts at 7 p.m. (CDT) June 10. MBNA Pole Qualifying starts at 8:30 p.m. June 8.

Practice sessions start at 3 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. June 8, and 1:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. June 9.

ON THE AIR:

The Casino Magic 500 will be televised live on ESPN at 8 p.m. (EDT) June 10. “Indy Racing 2Day” will be televised live at 3:30 p.m. June 10 on ESPN2.

ESPN2 will televise MBNA Pole qualifying at 9:30 p.m. (EDT) June 8.

The Indy Racing Radio Network will broadcast a 30-minute prerace show at 7:30 p.m. (EDT) June 10, followed by the live race broadcast at 8 p.m.

The IRRN race broadcast also will be available live on the Internet at www.indyracing.com as part of a partnership between Indy Racing Online and Yahoo!/broadcast.com, the world’s leading Web broadcast site.

Tickets for the Casino Magic 500 are available by calling (817) 215-8500, through Ticketmaster outlets in Texas by calling (214) 373-8000 or (972) 647-5700. Tickets also are available online at www.ticketmaster.com.

TICKET SPECIALS:

Pole Night tickets available at the movies: Fort Worth and Dallas-area United Artists Theatres have joined with Texas Motor Speedway to distribute tickets for the Casino Magic 500 Pole Night on June 8. Every movie ticket purchased at United Artists Theatres includes a coupon good for two free general admission seats to Pole Night.

Tasty race treat: Fans may redeem two UPC codes from any Nabisco cookie or cracker product, 4½ ounces or larger, including Nabisco TrayPack Single Serve, to receive an additional Casino Magic 500 race ticket free of charge.

Tickets must be purchased before Race Day, June 10, at the Texas Motor Speedway ticket office and are subject to availability. There is a limit of two free tickets per customer. Nabisco is the Official Cookie/Cracker of Texas Motor Speedway. This is the second year for this ticket promotion to take place for the Casino Magic 500 and the Pronto Auto Parts 400 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race, which takes place June 9.

IN THE PITS:

Race fans can get a close-up view of pre-race action in the infield with VIP Pit Passes for the Casino Magic 500. The passes, available for $60, allow spectators access to the infield and pit road up to 30 minutes before the start of MBNA Pole qualifying on June 8 and the Casino Magic 500 on June 10.

The VIP Pit Passes must be accompanied by an admission ticket for that day’s event, and each person must be 18 years of age, pick up their pass in person and sign a liability waiver. Passes will be sold for $60 on Race Day at Gate 7.
