Motors TV will air the American-based Indy lights series over the 2008 season, with an option for 2009. The shows will benefit from coverage on the full network of the "High Speed Television" and air in five languages.

Indy lights is the final step in the ladder leading to the newly re-unified IndyCar series, and in 2008 it features a 30 car strong-field, with drivers from 7 different countries. Following on Danica Patrick's path the series also sees 2 young ladies racing: Cyndie Allemann and Ana Beatriz.

The Dallara single-seater cars are powered by a 3.5L V8 engine and reach a maximum speed of 190MPH.

The shows will be 26' or 52' long (for Indianapolis and all double-header events), and a 2 hours review will air at the end of the season. All shows will air prime-time on a Saturday evening, starting this Saturday May 24th with the 1st 2 rounds, held in Miami and St Petersburg.

Motors TV's Head of Programming & Acquisitions, Frederic Viger: "Indy lights is definitely a great addition to our line-up as it's a major single-seater series. The fact that there are three European drivers involved is also important to us. We'd like to thank young South African driver Arnout Kok for his involvement in helping us to secure this deal with ESPN, and wish him the best of luck with his goal to race in the 2009 Indy Lights Season with Michael Crawford Motorsport."

In addition to the coverage, Motors TV will also be partnering the Michael Crawford Motorsport team; the channel's logo will appear on both cars.
