JJ Yeley on Darlington (S.C.) Raceway: "I love Darlington. The race track has so much character and history to it. It is one of the widest tracks that we race at with the narrowest racing groove."
On The Key To Success At The Track They Call Too Tough To Tame: "The biggest thing about Darlington is staying focused behind the wheel. The groove at Darlington is less than two feet from the fence and we are running close to 200 miles per hour! It is not uncommon to rub the fence at least two or three times in a race."
On What You Need To Tame Darlington: "Darlington is a track that takes the whole package in order to be successful. Now that the track has been re-paved, horsepower is more important now than it has ever been. Track position is also very critical because it is tough to pass."
On His Fondest Memory At Darlington (S.C.) Raceway: "My fondest moment of Darlington was my first test in a Nationwide Series car. It was so exciting running right against the wall, almost wide open all the way around the track. It was the closest style of race track that I learned to race on in open wheel."
On Racing Saturday Night Compared To Sunday or Sunday Night: "It is nice to have Saturday night races. It allows me to spend more time with my family compared to a Sunday night race that I won't get home until very late or even the next morning. I prefer night races to day races anyway. The cars are faster, the track has more grip so the racing is usually better."
