OFFICE DEPOT ADDS EIGHT RACES TO 2005 NASCAR NEXTEL CUP SCHEDULE
Will Appear as the Primary Sponsor on the No. 99 Ford

CONCORD, N.C. (May 19, 2005) - Roush Racing and Office Depot (NYSE:ODP), a leading global provider of office products and services, announced today that Office Depot, the "Official Office Products Partner of NASCAR," is expanding its on-track sponsorship commitment with the No. 99 Ford driven by Carl Edwards to a total of 17 races for the remainder of the 2005 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup season.

"I know I speak for the entire No. 99 team when I say we are all really excited to have Office Depot on board for 17 races this year," Edwards said. "Office Depot is a really important partner for us and we look forward to giving them some great runs in the second half of the 2005 season and hopefully during the 'Chase for the NEXTEL Cup'."

In addition to the nine races announced earlier this year, Office Depot will appear as the primary sponsor on the No. 99 Ford for eight additional races this season. The schedule includes both races at Dover, the two road course tracks (Infineon and Watkins Glen) and the second races at Pocono, Bristol, Martinsville and Phoenix. With the addition of these races, Office Depot will appear on Edwards' No. 99 Ford for six of the final 10 races in the "Chase for the NEXTEL Cup."

"With Carl's performance so far this season, the prospect of adding races is something that excites every one of Office Depot's employees and customers across the country," noted Tony Ueber, Vice President of Marketing Strategy for Office Depot.

Office Depot will also become a track sponsor for races at seven International Speedway Corporation (ISC) tracks that include Daytona International Speedway, California Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Watkins Glen International, Martinsville Speedway, Phoenix International Raceway and Homestead-Miami Speedway. Plus, Office Depot has a new sponsorship relationship with Speedway Motorsports, Inc., (NYSE:TRK) at Bristol Motor Speedway, Infineon Raceway, Lowe's Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway

"One of the reasons NASCAR was so appealing to Office Depot was that it is a great national property that gives us so much opportunity to tap into our core small business customers on the local level," Ueber said. "Our new partnership with ISC and its seven tracks across the country combined with our Speedway Motorsports relationship featuring five of its speedways provides a wonderful venue where we can continue to broaden our reach in the communities where our customers run their businesses, and extend promotions to NASCAR fans through retail and track activities."
