David Green to Make First Start at Memphis Motorsports Park: Sunday's Sam's Town 250 NASCAR Busch Series race marks David Green's first start at Memphis Motorsports Park, and as usual, the 1994 series champion is looking forward to the challenge of a new track. "One of the best things about going to a new track is that you have no bad habits from prior races," said the driver of the No. 34 AFG Glass Chevrolet Monte Carlo. "I have always done well at short tracks. Hopefully, that will ring true on Sunday." In July, Green made his first start at Pikes Peak International Raceway and ended up with a second place finish. He's looking to better that performance by one on Sunday. "I made my first ever start at Pikes Peak earlier this season and finished second," said the Owensboro, Kentucky native. "I have no reason to think that I can't go out there and do even better at Memphis."

Kaylie Green Brings Her Daddy and His No. 34 AFG Glass Race Car to Show-And-Tell: On Wednesday, October 25, David Green, along with his No. 34 AFG Glass Chevrolet Monte Carlo, made a visit to his daughter Kaylie's preschool in Concord, North Carolina, as part of its 'Sharing Talents' program. Six classes of children, ranging from two to four years of age, had the opportunity to visit with Kaylie's dad, a professional race car driver who competes in the NASCAR Busch Series "It means a lot to me to be able to do this for my daughter," said Green. "I remember when I was growing up and went to show and tell, nothing really interested me. I would have loved to see a race car up close when I was a kid." The car Green brought to the school was the same AFG Glass car he ran at Lowe's Motor Speedway in May. Each child had the opportunity to have their picture taken in the car and Green, the 1994 Busch Series champion, signed autographs for all the children. "It is neat to be able to show Kaylie and her friends my race car," said Green. "They all had smiles on their faces when we left and that made me feel great."

David Green to Visit St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis: David Green, driver of the No. 34 AFG Glass Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the NASCAR Busch Series, will visit St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee on Friday, October 27. Dr. William White, a friend and doctor of an AFG Industries employee, has a son who is a patient at the hospital. He asked if Green would be available to visit the hospital and cheer up some of the children. Green jumped at the chance. "When I was young, my brother, Mark, got burned in an accident while racing go-karts, " said Green. "I remember going to the hospital to visit him, and seeing all the kids that were there. I remember wishing that I could help them. I am honored to have the chance to bring happiness to these children's lives. It warms my heart to see the smiles on their faces. I wish I could do more, but for now, I will give them what I can - racing." As expected, the children at the hospital are anxiously awaiting Green's visit. "The kids are all really excited about David coming to visit," said Shawn Brasher, Child Life Specialist for the hospital. "We have a bunch of kids who are NASCAR fans. It's going to be a fun day."
