BUSCH: Robby Faggart to run at Richmond

Robby Faggart will join the #94 NuHouse Properties team for the Auto Lite/Fram 250 this weekend at Richmond. Faggart will replace Derrike Cope, who is focusing on developing his Winston Cup program. Faggart competed earlier in the season with the #49 Jay Robinson Racing team, but will now give the #94 a shot. "I was running with the #49 whenever they needed me, and Fred (Bickford, team owner) came along with this opportunity for Richmond, so I decided to try out some of his equipment to see what we could do with it," said Faggart.

Robby and team owner Fred Bickford have quite an interesting relationship that brings them together in the NASCAR Busch Series. "Robby and I raced against each other in the late model sportsman class and in the All Pro Series. Robby caused the worst crash I ever had in a racecar one night when we were running 1 and 2, Robby being in first. I am still dizzy every now and then from it. The other day I was sitting with Robby and told him never in a million years did I think Robby Faggart would be driving my racecar. Now it's the big joke around the shop," said Bickford.

All kidding aside, Faggart feels very good about this weekend. "We probably have a top-fifteen or top-twenty car for Richmond. I love this racetrack, so I am really looking forward to getting out there and seeing what we can do. I ran third here in the Sportsman Division in the early 90's, and have always loved racing here," remarked Faggart.

Faggart made ten starts with the #49 before moving to the 94. His best finish came at Milwaukee in July where he battled from 37th to finish 28th. The team struggled with mechanical problems, and Faggart hopes moving to the #94 will give him his first top-twenty of the season. "We'll see what happens when we get there. I love the track, and Fred has always had good equipment. If everything comes together I think we should have a pretty good run there on Friday night."
