TOP FUEL

* Tony Schumacher, in his U.S. Army dragster, earned his fifth career win and fourth in a row (also 1999, 2004, '05, '06) POWERade Series world championship when he won the race by defeating Bob Vandergriff in the final round. He had a final-round run of 4.486 at 328.30 mph to earn his 41st career victory.

* It was Schumacher's category-leading sixth victory of the season. It is his fifth win at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, including the last four.

* Schumacher becomes the first Top Fuel driver in NHRA history to win four consecutive world championship titles.

* Schumacher, from Chicago, claimed his 12th No. 1 qualifying effort of the season and 47th of his career in his U.S. Army dragster with a performance 4.508 seconds at 323.04 mph.

* The series points leader entering this event, Rod Fuller, was upset in the first round by eventual runner-up Vandergriff.

* Vandergriff, driver of the UPS dragster, extended his winless streak to 0 for 12, an NHRA record.

* Brandon Bernstein's Budweiser team earned the Full Throttle Pit Crew Championship award for the event.

* Schumacher's U.S. Army team earned the 2007 Full Throttle Pit Crew Championship award.

FUNNY CAR

* Tony Pedregon, in his Q Horsepower Chevy Impala, won his second career (also 2003 as a team driver for Force Racing) POWERade Series world championship. This is his first championship as a team owner

* Robert Hight, from Yorba Linda, Calif., drove to a final-round win of 4.731 seconds at 326.71 mph in his Auto Club Ford Mustang, earning his eighth career victory. It is Hight's third victory of the season and his second at this track (also won '06 Winternationals).

* Jeff Arend in his Checker Schuck's Kragen Chevy Impala SS earned his second career No.1 qualifier with a performance of 4.781 seconds at 324.90 mph.

* Mike Ashley earned the Motel 6 "Who Got the Light" award by defeating Jack Beckman by a .0020-second margin of victory in the final round.

* Tim Wilkerson's Levi Ray & Shoup team earned the Full Throttle Pit Crew Championship award for the event.

* Jack Beckman's Mail Transport System team earned the 2007 Full Throttle Pit Crew Championship award.

PRO STOCK

* Jeg Coughlin, in his Jegs.com Chevy Cobalt, won his third career (also 2000, '02) POWERade Series world championship when he won in the second round of Pro Stock against Richie Stevens Jr.

* Coughlin, from Delaware, Ohio, raced to his 38th win of his career and fourth of this season by defeating Justin Humphreys in the final round with a performance of 6.638 at 207.98 mph. It was Coughlin's sixth victory at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, including three at the NHRA Finals.

* Dave Connolly earned his fifth career No. 1 qualifying award and third this season with a performance of 6.648 seconds at 208.01 mph in his Torco Chevy Cobalt.

* Greg Anderson's Summit Racing team earned the Full Throttle Pit Crew Championship award for the event.

* Greg Anderson's Summit Racing team earned the 2007 Full Throttle Pit Crew Championship award.

PRO STOCK MOTORCYCLE

* Matt Smith, on his Torco Race Fuels Buell, won his first career POWERade Series world championship when he won in the final round of Pro Stock against Chip Ellis.

* Smith also from King, N.C raced to his sixth career win and fourth this season by defeating Chip Ellis in the final round with a time of 6.944 seconds at 191.08 mph on his Torco Race Fuels Buell . It is Smith's first victory at Pomona.

* Andrew Hines earned his 21st career No. 1 qualifying award with a performance of 6.956 seconds at 192.22 mph on his Vance & Hines/Screamin' Eagle Harley Davidson. It was Hines second No. 1 effort this season.

* Angelle Sampey's U.S. Army team earned the Full Throttle Pit Crew Championship award for the event.

* Chip Ellis' Drag Specialties S&S team earned the 2007 Full Throttle Pit Crew Championship award.
