JESUS RIOS JR. SKIP BARBER LIME ROCK REPORT
Skip Barber scholarship winner ends the year in style as he looks to finish off the season at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals

Miami Beach, FL - Jesus Rios Jr., pilot of the #127 CRG for PSL Karting competed in the final weekend of Skip Barber Regional Series action held at Lime Rock Park. The top junior formula car drivers from various Skip Barber programs descended on the famous New England area track to finalize several championships and secure some bragging rights. Rios Jr. had a stellar 2010 as he began to make the transition from karts to cars. Running as a rookie in the Rotax Senior Max and also as a rookie in the Skip Barber Summer Series, Rios Jr. was on a major learning curve all season long.

Making the move to open wheel racing, Jesus Jr. jumped into the Skip Barber Regional racing action running in the Summer Series through a scholarship from the 2009 Karting Shootout. Rios had a stellar opening season taking 7 wins in 16 races and setting several new track records. In the final race held at Lime Rock Park, Rios Jr. would have another strong weekend taking two top ten finishes to end the season. The talented teen took first in race one and backed that up with a tenth in race two. After the final tally the rookie pilot took Vice Champion in the Regional Summer Championship and Rookie of the Year Honors with 11 podiums.

"Our Skip Barber season was lots of fun," smiles young Rios Jr. "We learned a ton and will take that onto our next level of open wheel racing."

In Rotax Pan Am Challenge action Rios Jr. was able to take the Senior Max title in his first season in the senior ranks. Battling against some of the best in North America, the PSL Karting CRG driver handled the pressure and took the championship in the final weekend of racing action held at Calspeed Karting in Fontana, CA. The title earned Rios Jr. an invite to Team USA and the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals being held at the LaConca track near Lecce, Italy. This will mark Rios Jr. second time on Team USA and his second trip to LaConca, Italy where he went as a Junior in 2008. This past experience will bode well for the ultra fast teen as he joins the largest contingent at the RMCGF with Team USA taking 21 drivers to the big show.

"I am really happy with the move to Senior," commented Rios Jr. from his home in South Florida. "The competition is very tough and the guys rarely make mistakes. You have to be on your game every session. I can't wait for 2011."

Rios Jr. is currently finalizing his 2011 plans that will include a number of open car races and a karting schedule. Look for more information coming shortly.

Jesus Rios Jr. would like to thank the Skip Barber Formula car crew for all their hard work. Jesus Jr. would also like to thank PSL Karting, Homestead Karting, Juan Carlos Maimone Director/CEO of InfoAuto USA Magazine, Dr. Sidener principal of Miami Beach Senior High School, In-Style Properties along with his parents and family for all their support.
