Goodness knows how long SCCA Soloists waited for a real place to call their home for their largest event of the year.
A place where a solid, clean surface stretched out before them instead of a sea of patchwork woven into the concrete, and shower-provided water flowed as easily as a driver in perfect rhythm through a tight chicane.
Not that the previous home, at Forbes Field, was a bad place. Plenty of great memories and competition took place there. But it was designed to be something else, first and foremost, the other 51 weeks out of the year. Continued...
