USCS 2001 "Rookie Points" 2001-04-21

Atlanta, Ga. - Aubrey Black leads the USCS All-Star Motorsports / Hart Racing "Top Rookie " 2001 National and Asphalt series point standings with 134 points as of the 4/21/01 event at Concord Motorsport Park.

Black drove his red # 21 , Increte Special to a 9th position finish at the fast and challenging 1/2 mile asphalt tri-oval in the A - main event in his first ever sprint car start . Lance Moss of Concord, North Carolina finished 11th in the A-main after having a flat while running in the top 6, and is in third place. Troy Lowery of Martin, Tennessee, drove the only Ford powered entry to a 18th place finish in the 26 car field and trails Moss with 116 points just head of the B-Main winner Chris Hall of Demorest, Georgia in fourth. Hall got involved in a first lap A-main wreck.

Tim Perry, from China Grove, N.C., leads a group of 4 rookies that earned 100 points for their B-main finishes. Perry, George Turner of Atlanta, Ben Basinger from Salisbury, N.C. and Jody Folice of Mount Pleasant, N.C.are all tied for 5th with 100 points each.

The exciting "Rookies" and all the USCS regulars will be back in action on Friday May 4th at Huntsville Speedway in Huntsville, Alabama 256-882-9191) and move on to Senoia Speedway (770-599-6161) the next night.
