WST: Buffalo River Wissota Sprint series results

Veteran racer Roger Rager found victory lane for the 5th time this year on the Wissota Sprint Tour as he was the winner of the 3rd stop of the Wissota August Heat Speedweek tour last Sunday night at the Buffalo River Speedway in Glyndon, MN. Rager the Donahue Harley Davidson team had driven all night to get to Glydon following Rager's run with the USAC Coors Light Silver Bullet Championship Series event at the Springfield Mile in Springfield, IL on Saturday night.

Rager started on the outside of the third row by virtue of his win in the Dash for Cash and charged to the lead and held on to take the win. In a race that saw several incidents, including front row starter and defending Wissota Champion Tony Norem launching his sprinter into the neighboring trees, Ehren Layton of St. Louis Park, MN was able to charge the family owned sprinter from the 17th position to take the runner up honors. Matt Folstad was followed by 2001 Wissota rookies Rob Caho Jr. and Sye Anderson. Heats for the 21 sprints were won by Norem, Greg Nikitenko, and John Nelson.
