Bobby Turner set to defend UDTRA win this weeekend At Dixie Speedway.

(July 17, 2002-- Canton, GA) Bobby Turner will unload his #31 Millwood Plumbing/JP Drilling sponsored machines this weekend at Dixie Speedway as the United Dirt Track Racing Association returns to the 3/8-mile clay oval of Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA. Last year, Turner made a clean sweep of the July national sanctioned event by setting fast time, taking a win in the first heat race giving the Georgia driver the pole position for the feature event, and leading flag to flag to capture his first UDTRA feature win of his career.

"We have been trying some new set-ups the past several weeks to get the car hooked up for the UDTRA event," comments Turner from his home track of Dixie Speedway. "We will also be on American Race Tires again this year for the UDTRA event. American Race Tires seem to get our cars hooked better."

Turner's win last season on the UDTRA tour garnered Bobby's racing efforts added exposure and publicity that has vaulted him on the national short track racing scene."The win last year was real good for me and my team. It helped us get a second engine program, and it also put us in a lot of other situations to gain other type of publicity that we would not normally receive," suggests Bobby.

Bobby is currently tied for 2nd place in the Dixie Speedway track championship points chase and has scored two feature wins at Sugar Creek Speedway in Blue Ridge, GA thus far season. Turner's 2002 racing efforts are sponsored by Millwood Plumbing based out of Acworth, GA, JP Drilling of Canton, GA along with JKT Investments.
