Hoosier Racing Tires returns as the official tires of the ASA Late Model Series. It's Hoosier Tires across the board for all three traveling series' in 2006.

Lexington, Michigan (11/25/05): The ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts is proud to announce that Hoosier Racing Tire will once again be the official tire of the ASA Late Model Series for the 2006 season! In addition to the announcement of Hoosier coming back, they're coming back in a huge way as the Indiana based Tire company will be the official tires across the board for all three traveling series' within the ASALM Series!

In 2005. Hoosier Racing Tire provided a new line of short track radial tires developed specifically for the ASA Late Model Series with rousing success. The same Hoosier Radial Tires used exclusively by the ASA Late Model Series in 2005 will be the exact same tire used by the televised ASA Late Model Series Challenge Division for the 2006 season.

In addition, for the 2006 season, Hoosier is developing a bias-ply tire specifically for the Northern and Southern Divisions. These tires will be stamped specifically for the ASA Late Model Series and will carry the stamps of both; ASALMS35 and ASALMS45! These will be the only tires allowed for competition in the ASALM Series Northern and Southern Divisions.

"We couldn't be more happier that Hoosier Racing Tire will be the official tire of the ASA Late Model Series all the way across the board!" Stated ASA Late Model Series Founder/President Ron Varney. "Hoosier gave us a great radial tire in 2005 and with the quality and support that they provide to us, it only makes sense to give our drivers in all three divisions only the best." Varney added.

Hoosier Racing Tire is the leader in the short track grassroots racing market with their sole focus on building high-performance race tires. Hoosier is the industry leader in design, production, and distribution of over 1,000 types of race tires nationwide. Hoosier Racing Tire which is headquartered in Lakeville, Indiana, was founded by Bob and Joyce Newton and has been providing race tires all over the country since 1957.

The 2005 season marked the first year that Hoosier Tires were selected as the official tire supplier of the ASA Late Model Series. After last year's PRI meeting, a tour of the Hoosier facility by Varney and other ASALM Series officials was in order, and in essence, sealed the deal naming Hoosier as the spec tire for the series. In record setting time, Hoosier engineers developed a short track radial tire designed specifically for the series, and the rest as they say, is history.

"All of our drivers in 2005 simply loved the new radial that Hoosier made exclusively for us. Plus the bias-ply (10-inch Slick) tires are a proven tire all over the country and we are extremely happy that our drivers will be on the best there is!" Continued Varney. "The ASA Late Model Series is proud to continue a working relationship with Hoosier and are very excited to have them on board as a marketing partner once again. It's the perfect fit for the ASA Late Model Series." Varney ended.

Hoosier Racing Tire Corp., extends its heartfelt congratulations to Stephen Leicht on winning the 2005 ASA Late Model Series Championship. Hoosier would also like to thank all the ASA Late Model Series teams, drivers, and fans who have supported their efforts throughout the 2005 season. Hoosier Tire looks forward to a long lasting relationship with the ASA Late Model Series.

The ASA Late Model Series Southern Division will christen the 2006 season for the ASA Late Model Series on Saturday March 4, 2006 at the Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway near Gainesville in Bronson, Florida. The televised ASA Late Model Series Challenge Division will open the doors on their 2006 season two weeks later at the famed Music City (TN) Motorplex in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday March 18, 2006. Finally the all-new Northern Division will hold its' inaugural event on Saturday May 6, 2006 at the wicked fast ½ mile of the I-70 (MO) Speedway outside of Kansas City in Odessa, Missouri.

The next scheduled event for the ASA Late Model Series will be the 2005 Awards Banquet to be held at the Quality Hotel/Summit Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday January 14, 2006, beginning at 6pm. The ASA Late Model Series will honor the 2005 ASA Late Model Series Champion, Stephen Leicht, as well as the 2005 Pat Bourdow Memorial Rookie of the Year, Brian Campbell and the top twenty drivers in the final points standings.

In addition, the GM Performance Parts Winner's Circle participants will be awarded as will the GM Performance Parts Shootout Points Champion, Mark Hartline, along-with special sponsored awards and some surprise awards which will be handed out as well.

The banquet is a semi-formal event and we encourage everyone to put on their best. The ASA Late Model Series will continue with the tradition that started with the first annual banquet to begin the awards presentation first followed by dinner and dancing. Everyone is welcome to attend and to celebrate the 2005 season. Attendance is mandatory for teams receiving awards. Tickets for the banquet must be purchased in advance through the ASALM Series Office.

Earlier that morning on January 14, 2006, the 2006 ASA Late Model Series Owner/Drivers meeting will also be held at the Quality Hotel/Summit Center from 9am-Noon. This meeting will be open for all three divisions and its' participants and the ASA Late Model Series management and staff encourages all teams that plan on running with any of the three traveling series in 2006 to attend or send a representative to the meeting.
