The racing program for Friday April, 21st was cancelled due to rain. Heavy afternoon showers forced the postponement of the second leg of the ITSI Millennium Series for the Late Models. The entire program of Late Models, Semi-Lates, Pure Stocks, Four Cylinders and Enduro Stocks will be made up on Friday June 9th.

The first race of the ITSI Millennium Series for the Late Models, the Bobby Allen Memorial, was captured by Roy Deese, Jr, the tracks all time win leader. He is one of the four different drivers to capture a Late Model win in the four-week-old season.

In Bell Motor Company Semi-Late competition, Paul Cursey of Baltimore, has been the early season star winning three of the first four events. Only Daryl Hills of Lexington Park has been able to halt the streak of the defending track champion.

The Coors Light Pure Stocks have produced four winners in four events. Johnny Smith, Jaime Lathroum, Mike Latham and Billy Tippett have all seen the checkered flag so far in 2000. The win for Tippett, was his first career Pure Stock win in only his fourth start.

In MAC Tools Four Cylinder action three drivers have been able to sit in victory lane. Wanye Graves, the all time win leader, has scored twice while Jerry Dick and Chappy Knaack have one win each.

The Gardiner Outdoor Products Enduro Stocks have weekly thrilled the fans with there three and four wide racing. John Burch, the defending track champion, has two wins, Kevin Sprague, the all time win leader has one win and John Ballou picked up career win number one two weeks ago.

The Chesapeake Web Design Bombers have been dominated by Brian Thompson who has two wins in two events.

Coming this week, Potomac will host a regular program, along with the Chesapeake Web Design Bombers. The Auto Racing Fans Club of Hagerstown will be on hand to present trophies to feature winners.
