Dodhiwala got a decent getaway from seventh on the grid, jumping up to third by the end of Lap 1, at the initial start.
He spent the next six laps on the tail of guest racer Dhruv Behl, who defended beautifully against the Hyderabad-based driver.
But the red-flag deployed on Lap 8 after Raunak Ajinkya crashed in the first sector - opened up new avenues for Dodhiwala, who quickly passed Behl and reverse-grid polesitter Pradeep Rao to take the lead of the race.
Rao eventually fell way down to 14th, with Niranjan Todkari taking third behind winner Dodhiwala and second place finisher Behl.
Meanwhile, Race 1 winner Karminder Singh recovered from a drive through penalty to finish fourth, ahead of title contender Keith Desouza.
Desouza was involved in a collision with yesterday’s podium finisher Aditya Vijay Pawar, who immediately retired from the race.
Top rookie Jeet Jhabakh was a distant sixth, with Amit Mete classified in seventh, 0.438s ahead of Arunshowry Vallabhaneni.
The top 10 was completed with Arfath Mohammed and Godhwam Raj.
