Three drivers head to the final round of the championship with a shot at the title, with Hyderabad’s Anindith Reddy currently leading the standings from Delhi-born Karminder Singh. The two drivers are separated by just 16 points, with 180 points on offer in the final round.

Ishaan Dodhiwala has an outside chance of clinching the title, having consistently scored podium finishes during the course of the season. He trails Reddy by 48 points going into the final round.

“JK Tyre Volkswagen Vento Cup has so far witnessed splendid performances from all the racers including newcomers. We have seen the drivers improve over the course of the season,'' said Mr. Sirish Vissa, Head of Volkswagen Motorsport India.

"With the championship still open, in both overall and junior category, the last round promises to treat us with intense battles."

Stuck to make India visit

Former F1 driver and Le Mans winner Hans-Joachim Stuck has been invited by Volkswagen to guide the budding drivers and share experiences of his racing career spanning over 42 years.

Two guest drivers from Volkswagen Polo Cup China - Zhang Qianshang & Yang Shuo - are also expected to take part in the curtain-closing round of the Vento Cup.

“With Hans-Joachim Stuck, we have a legend with us for the last round who, with his 42 years of rich Motorsport experience, will be the perfect guide to our drivers. Also, the top two racers from China will add that extra flavour to the weekend,’’ Vissa said.
