The team has not rested since Sebring. With additional testing and extensive work on the Cinjo Racing/Motorcity True Performance/Viper, the team is poised to take the next step in development. The tight 1.8-mile Long Beach circuit will be the team's first test on a modified street course.

With the promise that the Viper showed in its first outing, team owner Joe Tranchida is optimistic. "We had a good run at Sebring with a new car and new team. We have not taken a moment's rest between races. The team has worked hard on the improvements we wanted to make after Sebring. We've had a chance to do some testing, and Long Beach should be another promising step in the development of the car and the team."

With a career best finish of fifth place at Long Beach, Tommy Archer, driver of the #36 Cinjo Racing/Motorcity True Performance Viper, is ready. "The effort that the team has put into the car since Sebring is noticeable. We should look even stronger than we did at Sebring. The Long Beach circuit is tight and technical, so there's not much room for error or passing. We will have to put in a good qualifying effort and then stay out of trouble."

The Trans-Am race in Long Beach will start at 3:45 p.m. PST and be televised on Speedvision, April 15, at 12:00 p.m. EST. <pre> Trans-Am Driver Points: 1. Boris Said Mustang 34 2.
