AURORA, Ill. (February 14, 2002) - Never before has Chicago seen a field of extreme athletes like the field of competitors for the upcoming IFMA Freestyle Motocross event this weekend, February 15-16, at the Allstate Arena. Confirmed riders include, 2002 Winter X-Games silver medallist "Mad" Mike Jones, Tommy Clowers, Kenny Bartram, Trevor Vines, Jake Windham, Drake McElroy, Dustin Miller and more. This will be the only opportunity for Chicagoland fans to catch a glimpse of the hottest extreme sport in the world live.

In twenty-two events thus far on the 2002 IFMA tour, Bartram has swept both nights in Salt Lake City, Philadelphia, and Denver while winning one event in Pittsburgh, PA and Cleveland, OH. Jimmie McGuire swept both nights in Dallas. Drake McElroy has five event wins with 2001 IFMA Champion Dustin Miller taking five wins including a sweep last weekend in Cincinnati, OH and 2000 IFMA Jake Windham and Nate Adams on the board with one event win each. There are three X-Games Gold Medallists on tour including Jones, Clowers, and Bartram who is one of only two riders to earn gold at both the Gravity Games and X-Games.

Last year the IFMA tour visited six new venues with record setting crowds. Chicago should be no exception. "Chicago marks the largest market ever for the IFMA Freestyle Motocross series to date," said T.D. Lovett, Vice President of Freestyle Motocross for Clear Channel Entertainment. "We are bringing in the top riders in the world for this event. The freestyle motocross world has never before seen the quality of talent and a better event than will be in Chicago."

And for the first time ever on the IFMA Freestyle Motocross schedule, there are three opportunities for fans to see their favorite freestyle motocross riders. In addition to the traditional Friday and Saturday night performances, a Saturday afternoon matinee has been added at 2PM. "With the popularity of the sport, and the large amount of fans in the Chicago area, we have added a show and increased our weekend purse to $45,000 for this event only," added Lovett.

Don't miss your chance to see the hottest extreme sport in the world, Friday and Saturday February 15th and 16th at the Allstate Arena. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the 8:00PM shows and at 12:30PM for the Saturday afternoon 2:00PM show. Competition begins at 8:00PM on Friday and Saturday nights and 2:00PM on Saturday afternoon. Kids tickets are just $5, and adult tickets are $20 in advance. Exclusive Gold Circle seating is available for $25 in advance.

Tickets are available online at pacefmx.com, or tickets for Allstate Arena events may be purchased at the Allstate Arena Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com and by phone at 312-559-1212.
