The Ferrari Challenge North America, which will feature Ferrari 458 Italias, will race the 3.56-mile road course on Friday, Jan. 25 at 11:45 a.m. and on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. prior to the start of the 51st anniversary of the Rolex 24 At Daytona. Each race will be 15 laps in length.

“The Ferrari Challenge is a great addition to an already exciting schedule of events during the Rolex 24 At Daytona Weekend,” Daytona International Speedway President Joie Chitwood III said. “Having an iconic car manufacturer such as Ferrari showcase its power and excitement in two events prior to the Rolex 24 further solidifies Daytona International Speedway as the ‘World Center of Racing.’ ”

The Ferrari Challenge is organized by Ferrari North America and its authorized dealers and is sanctioned by the Grand American Road Racing Association (GRAND-AM).

In 1992, Ferrari created the Ferrari Challenge, a single marquee racing series designed to allow Ferrari owners to race fellow Ferrari owners on the world’s greatest race tracks. The Ferrari Challenge expanded into North America in 1993 and has enjoyed a full schedule of races every year since.

The Ferrari Challenge races are included in the daily race ticket, which are available online at www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com or by calling 1-800-PITSHOP.

Tickets for Friday, Jan. 25 start $20 and two-day tickets for the Rolex 24 At Daytona on Jan. 26-27 begin at $35.

The Rolex 24, the kick-off event to Budweiser Speedweeks 2013, showcases the world’s best drivers competing against each other lap after lap for 24 hours.
