Sam Bird signs with Mucke Motorsport

MUCKE AND BIRD JOIN FORCES

Mucke Motorsport has signed highly rated Briton Sam Bird for a joint assault on the 2009 Formula 3 Euro Series title.

Bird follows in the footsteps of Robert Kubica, Sebastian Vettel and Sebastien Buemi, all of whom enjoyed success in the F3 Euro Series with Mucke before going on to secure roles in Formula One.

The Berlin-based team narrowly missed out on the driver's title in 2007 with Buemi and were again one of the teams to beat in 2008.

"We were fortunate enough to be able to speak with the best teams in the Series and, everything considered, my management team and I felt that Mucke was the very best choice.
