QUINCY Mich. (July 28, 2006) -- Ben Rutan became the tenth different driver to grace Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by Victor Reinz victory lane in 2006 by topping Friday night's 25-lap feature at Butler Motor Speedway.

Rutan slipped past Gary Fast to take command on the 18th round en route to his fifth career ASCS Sprints on Dirt triumph and first of the season aboard the Mike Yoader Racing/Dirty Country Motorsports No. 23.

Kyle Patrick and Fast led the feature field to the green flag, with Patrick leading the opening round before bicycling and opening the door for Fast. While Fast paced the ensuing rounds, Rutan was methodically working his way through the field.

Rutan closed on the leader and snared the point on the 18th lap, holding on the rest of the way to take the win in front of Fast, Ryan Grubaugh, Brett Mann and Patrick.

Louie Carufel crossed the stripe sixth, with Steve Irwin, Dave Fox, Gregg Dalman and Joe Bares completing the top ten.
