Series names Road America title sponsor

StopTech Named Presenting Sponsor of World Challenge Race at Road America

TOPEKA, Kan. (June 2, 2009) -- WC Vision is pleased to announce that StopTech, a leading innovator of world-class brake components and systems, has been named the presenting sponsor for Round Eight of the SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Championships: the Road America Grand Prix Presented by StopTech.

StopTech engineers and manufactures high performance brake rotors, calipers, DOT compliant stainless steel lines and brake upgrade systems for production-based racing cars and high performance vehicles on the street and track. The 10-year old company's ongoing brake research and technologies have resulted in four U.S. patents. The company has a long and successful presence in World Challenge, with many drivers giving credit to their StopTech brakes on the podium, including James Sofronas after his recent win at Long Beach.

The Road America Grand Prix Presented by StopTech will be a part of the Road Race Showcase, Aug. 14 -- 16, at the historic four-mile road course in Elkhart Lake, Wis. The weekend will mark Round Eight of both the World Challenge GT and World Challenge Touring Car Championships.
