EMF Corporation To Continue Sponsorship Of The Sunoco Super Series
Salem, Ind. (February 7, 2002) – EMF Corporation, headquartered in Angola, Indiana, will continue its sponsorship of the Sunoco Super Series for the upcoming 2002 racing season. EMF Corporation will continue to be a Corporate Sponsor of the Sunoco Super Series as well as the sponsor of the EMF Corporation Hard Luck Award, and the EMF Corporation Hang Tough Bonus.
The EMF Corporation Hard Luck Award will consist of a $100 bonus that will be paid at every 2002 series event to the first team that did not qualify for the feature event. The EMF Corporation Hang Tough Bonus will be a $200 bonus that will be paid to driver in the top fifteen in final series points that has the lowest amount of top ten finishes for the year. Terry Fisher, driver for Floyd Fehl, was awarded the 2001 EMF Corporation Hang Tough Bonus at the 2001 Series Awards Banquet.
EMF Corporation is an electrical manufacturing company owned by Dick Poe. Poe is also the owner of Angola Motor Speedway, which the series will visit twice in 2002. Poe is also the owner of Richard Poe Motorsports that fields the number 72 Sunoco Super Series racecar for driver Scott Hantz. Richard Poe Motorsports won the 2000 Series Points Championship and driver Scott Hantz the 2000 Rookie Of The Year honors.
