2007: The Rookie Season
In 2007, a fresh-faced 17-year-old from New Zealand showed up at Oran Park to make his Supercars debut with Team Kiwi Racing.

Van Gisbergen impressed at Oran Park, finishing 13th in the second race in difficult conditions.

He went one better on the streets of the Gold Coast, finishing a season-best 12th.
2008: Joining SBR
Van Gisbergen returned as a full-blown Stone Brothers Racing driver for the 2008 season.

He took his first podium finish, with a second at the Sandown sprint round.
2009: Bathurst Breakthrough
The Kiwi made his first appearance in the Top 10 Shootout at the Bathurst 1000 in 2009.

The 2010 season was van Gisbergen's best by, the Kiwi finishing sixth in the points.

Van Gisbergen not only took his first win in 2011, but he did so at his home race on the streets of Hamilton in New Zealand.

Another win followed later in the season, this time in Darwin. Van Gisbergen wound up fourth in the points.

Van Gisbergen slipped back to sixth in the points in 2012, a qualifying race win at Sandown his sole triumph.

Van Gisbergen briefly retired at the end of 2012 when Erebus took over Stone Brothers Racing – but showed up at Clipsal in a Tekno Commodore...

The 2014 season was another highpoint for van Gisbergen, with four wins and second in the points.

One of those wins was a second on New Zealand soil, this time at Pukekohe.

He also took pole position at Bathurst – and might have won the race had the Tekno Commodore failed to restart when he stalled during a pitstop.
2015: Perfect Farewell
Van Gisbergen finished his time with Tekno perfectly, with victory from the final race of the season in Sydney.
2016: Becoming a Champion
Van Gisbergen joined Red Bull Racing Australia for the 2016 season.
