Grosjean takes issue with Hamilton's "behaviour on track"

Romain Grosjean has expressed his frustration with Lewis Hamilton, saying the Briton's actions could have caused "quite a big crash" in the FP1 session of the Austrian Grand Prix.

Mercedes driver Hamilton spun his W07 Hybrid at Turn 3 midway through FP1, his car sliding back onto the track surface after contact with the gravel.

Haas man Grosjean, running behind, was forced to take evasive action that resulted in the Frenchman likewise losing control of his car.

After Friday's running, Grosjean said: "I wasn't very happy with Lewis' behaviour on track today. He spun, he didn't hit the brakes and he was reversing in the middle of the track.

"I was coming there so, to avoid it, I had to spin the car.

"And in FP2, again, he was doing some qualy run, he was going straight every lap in Turn 2 and then staying in the middle of the track  - I had a lot of Lewis around this morning."

Asked if he would speak to Hamilton about the issue during the drivers' briefing, Grosjean said: "Maybe, if I've got the chance to speak with him, yeah - 'cause we could have had quite a big crash this morning.

"And it's not something you want [on the] first run in FP1."
