Richard Westbrook winner at the Nürburgring! The Racing Team Morellato driver converted his pole position into the team's second race win after a dominant performance in the Porsche Supercup. Morellato Stars Team Colin Mc Rae had to retire from the race after a collision in the final lap, while Kristian Ghedina finishe 21st.

"The "Milkman", that should be his nickname : he always delivers!" Even Richard Westbrook mechanics were impressed by his performance, Sunday at the Nürburgring. Second pole, and second win in a row for the 30 years old British driver."I made my usual bad start. So Richard Lietz (second on the grid and on the finish line) beat me to the first corner. But I knew I had the advantage of the new tyres which I saved in the Qualifying. I didn't worry, I knew I was faster, and I overtook him in the second lap. Afterwards, it was just a matter of concentration, because I quickly built a good lead. Now, I just need the Team to get me Launch control!"With this great victory, Westbrook increases his lead in the championship, with 58 points, followed by David Saelens, third in Nürburgring and second overall with 46 points.

Richard Westbrook's team mate Olivier Maximin didn't score any points, finishing 18th. 15th on the grid, he was last of the pack after a spin in the first lap. But he then moved up from the back of the grid, overtook several opponents and finished 18th. "A really bad result^Å But at least I had some fun. I even overtook Colin Mc Rae!"

The former Rally champion was indeed driving for the Morellato Stars Team. But he had to retire from the race after a collision in the final lap. Colin Mc Rae was approaching the second to the last curve of the race when David Dermont attacked him and crashed into his left side. "I was quite upset, for sure, because he came from behind way too fast and destroyed my rear left tire. It's frustrating; I was so close from the finish line. Apart from that, this week-end has been really enjoyable. I will drive again for the Morellato Stars Team, in Monaco at the end of the month, and I have great hopes for that race. Here, it was some kind of a practise for me, and it's been a good experience."

The other Morellato Stars Team driver, Kristian Ghedina, did finish the race, 21th. The most successful Italian downhill skier of all time, who just retired from ski competition, wasn't satisfied. "The race was not so good. Of course, I had fun, but I still have many progresses to make. I need more practice on the car. It's not so difficult to just drive it, but to go really fast with it is a totally different matter! I am still learning. The good thing is that I didn't crash the car and finished the race!"Kristian Ghedina will drive again for the Morellato Stars Team, next week-end in Barcelona. The race will be broadcasted live on Eurosport.
