Ferrari unbeatable at Albacete
Maranello, 4 July 2010 -- This weekend the Albacete circuit hosted the third round of the Spanish GT Championship and the prestigious event provided the backdrop for a clean sweep of the podium for the F430, in a repeat performance of the last round held at Jarama. The ART team's Juan Manuel Lopez and Manuel Giao were first past the flag, ahead of the other car entered by the Portuguese team, driven by the Alvaro Parente-Francisco Cruz Martins duo, with the Automobil Club D'Andorra car of Manuel Cerqueda-Alan Sicart in third place.
In the second race, the baton was passed to the second ART crew, with Parente-Cruz Martins standing on the top step of the podium, to take the lead in the championship. Third was the Ferrari of Juan Manuel Lopez-Manuel Giao, behind the second placed Porsche 911 of Miguel A. de Castro-Sintu Vives, which thus prevented Ferrari securing another triple finish.
There is now a long summer break in the Spanish series, before it returns over the weekend of 5 September at the Estoril circuit.
