24 hours of Le Mans: four Ferraris lined up for AF Corse
The 24 hours of Le Mans is round 3 of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and awards double points.

AF Corse will field four Ferrari in the 24 hours of Le Mans 2016, June 18th and 19th, between both GT category (LMGTE Pro and LMGTE Am). In addition, AF Corse – the only one Italian team in the most famous race in the world – will manage technically the cars of Formula Racing and Clearwater Racing teams. The 24 hours of Le Mans is round 3 of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and awards double points.
LMGTE Pro – In the AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE #71, Andrea Bertolini will accompany the GT championship leaders, Davide Rigon and Sam Bird (Rigon and Bird have full points after wins at Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps). Bertolini is one of the strongest Italian GT drivers. At the wheel of the AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE #51, Gianmaria Bruni and James Calado will be joined by Alessandro Pier Guidi who is making his debut in the French marathon after his great perfomances in the first part of the season.
LMGTE Am – François Perrodo, Emmanuel Collard and Rui Aguas will race in their AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia #83. The trio has currently the second position in the category classification. Duncan Cameron, Matt Griffin and Aaron Scott will drive the AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia #55; this squad will race for the first time together the 24 hours of Le Mans. Reamaining in the LMGTE Am, there is the Formula Racing Ferrari 458 Italia #60 with Johnny Laursen, Mikkel Mac and Christina Nielsen.
In the Clearwater Racing Ferrari 458 Italia #61 will race Mok Weng Sun, Keita Sawa and Robert Bell.
Following the official test, Sunday June 5th, the cars will take to the track on Wednesday May 15 for the free practices. Qualifying is on Thursday, while the race will start at 3 pm as usual.
