FORT WORTH-DALLAS (March 8, 2001) - Of March 29-30, NASCAR Winston Cup and Busch Series drivers will attempt to post the fastest qualifying speeds on the 1.5-mile paved oval track at Texas Motor Speedway -- and fans can watch for free. O'Reilly Auto Parts is offering free qualifying tickets good for two days of qualifying for the Harrah's 500 NASCAR Winston Cup race and Jani-King 300 Busch Series event.
"Texas Motor Speedway has a tradition of offering our fans free admission to pole day qualifying through one of our valuable sponsors such as O'Reilly," said speedway general manager Eddie Gossage. "We are very pleased to announce that this year's Harrah's 500 race week will include two days of top NASCAR qualifying action at no cost to fans."
Practice for the Jani-King 300 will begin at noon on Thursday, March 29, with qualifying at 3:30 p.m. Practice for the Harrah's 500 is Friday, March 30, beginning at 11:45 a.m. with qualifying at 3:00 p.m.
Tickets for O'Reilly Qualifying Days are available to fans at all participating O'Reilly Auto Parts locations. Qualifying tickets, including reserved seats, may also be purchased through the speedway ticket office by calling (817) 215-8500.
