LEVI, RAY & SHOUP CREW HONORED WITH FULL THROTTLE AWARD

Tim Wilkerson has always been very proud of his hand-picked crew of racing professionals, but that pride was taken to a new level at the conclusion of the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, this past weekend.

Toiling diligently on the hottest day of the season, faced with being the final pair in back-to-back rounds and therefore facing the shortest turn-around time in the pits to service their car for the next race, the Levi, Ray & Shoup crew worked flawlessly on Sunday, and carried Wilkerson the final round.

For the effort, Full Throttle Energy Drink awarded the LRS team their coveted "Hard-Working Crew Award" for the race.

From the Full Throttle announcement:

"Full Throttle celebrates the diligence and extra effort of crew members who strive to make an impact in every race, whether it's to overcome an obstacle or the odds, to get their car on the track.

"As the track temperatures climbed at Bristol Dragway on Sunday, Funny Car driver Tim Wilkerson's Shelby Mustang started heating up, too. Round by round, he knocked off his opponents ... until he ended up in the final for the first time since March."

The team's award puts them in the running to earn the overall Full Throttle Hard-Working Crew Award for the 2010 season, which will be determined by fan voting at the conclusion of the 2010 NHRA Full Throttle campaign.
